INTRODUCTION
Clinical Trials Center
Seoul National University Hospital Clinical Trial Center was established in 1995 to advance the domestic clinical research and to improve efficiency. It provides optimal research environment to conduct scientific and ethical clinical trials according to Korean good clinical practice (KGCP) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and international standards such as ICH and FDA Guidelines.
Researchers with appropriate quality for Industry-Academia collaborative research, including researchers in department of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics at Seoul National University College of Medicine, can take advantage of this center. This center is a facility for improving the ethical and scientific quality of clinical research and Industry-Academia collaborative research and for conducting clinical trials efficiently. It provides a researcher, research facilities, and administrative support to perform the research of efficacy, stability and action mechanism of various medicines including new drugs,. It serves as a coordinating center for post-marketing surveillance and multi-center collaborative research.
Medical Office (SNUCPT Office)
Medical Office is the place where all the members of SNUCPT stay. Here, members of SNUCPT conduct all tasks related to clinical trials, including new drug development and clinical trials, and analysis and reporting of results. In addition, a variety of consultation is carried out, including TDM, personalized medication therapy, and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics.
Biological sample analysis team
Biological sample analysis team analyzes the concentration of medicines and metabolites using a variety of analytical instruments based on accumulated experience and analytical techniques. In addition, this team explore circulating biomarkers (mRNA, microRNA), and conduct endogenous metabolomic studies and genotype analysis for optimal drug therapy, and prediction of drug interaction or drug effect.
Clinical Research Software
We use a variety of softwares such as Phoenix WinNonlin® and NONMEM® for pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and statistical analysis of the results obtained from clinical trials.
